See the white line in the middle of the painting depicting the foam of the waves on the shore. The dark figure in the front of the painting is awaiting the next wave coming in the distance and will become just another dark patch in the ocean to eventually be swallowed up by light. The sea is made up of light shades of blue and silver symbolic of purity and new youthfulness.
